RELICS

A psychedelic lyrical piece, I hope we will get it composed soon.

This song of mine is for the city of MOEN-JO-DARO. A place that always makes me think that where the inhabitants of this developed city (5000 years ago it was considered as a centre of civilization) have disapppeared. Archealogist found not even a single human skeleton during excavation. Why did they abandon their city? It remains a mystery.

Who were they?
& where hath they gone?
Why they shunned their city?
What made them to roam?

Had they been banished
From their Eden too,
Who won them this blemish?
Who caused them this woe?
Had they been lured too?
Like dwellers of Eden, Who
Sinned, & soaked in gloom.

There falls, bleeding chariots in the nights
Bitten by the thunder lights
Fiery tears from Heaven’s eyes
Don’t let them climb back to paradise.

Back in the ruins,
Their voices still echo through these relics
Their idol still dances, their deity is still prolific
Their wheels still turn, their Indus still floods
And still lives on the mystery of their unread words.
